Halloween was fun. The Guy With the Eyes Imitator showed up to our ward party wearing a suit, saying he'd dressed up as Clark Kent. A while into it, he left and came back in a Superman outfit. It was awesome.
Each apartment was given two pumpkins that we carved at the activity. Ours was pretty great (the small pumpkin with a long stem was turned into a witch hat and nose and a cauldron to accompany the large pumpkin which we covered with wrinkles and warts), but there were actually a lot of really great pumpkins. Afterward, I made cupcakes and watched Poltergeist while my roommates did homework. I invited people over, but only two showed up. About halfway through, when the movie stopped being pointless, my roommates stopped doing homework and got into it. Sarah, who laughs at the grotesque parts in movies, even screamed during the clown scene and forced me to hold her hand. haha.
On Tuesday, President Monson gave the devotional. Since I don't have class until 1:35 on Tuesdays and I knew it was going to be busy, I left the apartment at 8:30 to get a good seat. Being the thoughtless girl I often am, I didn't bring anything warm because I had assumed we'd be let inside. So, I stood in the cold rain for about an hour and a half (luckily I found a few people from my ward and they shared their umbrella with me), but it was worth it because I got seats for me and Marley (Sarah didn't really think it was that big of a deal that the prophet was coming, being a Utah girl) about nine rows from the stage almost in the middle. It was amazing being able to be so close to the prophet.
I don't really remember much else that happened either last or this week, except that I had three tests this week and so I spent a lot of time studying and managed to do pretty well on them. It seems to me like from now on to the end of the semester, things are going to be a lot less stressful and I just can't wait for the semester to end. I miss my family and I can't wait to be home for Christmas!!
Stephen and I are no longer having lunch together. My apartment hasn't had boys over for dinner for quite a while because whenever I ask Marley if we should invite boys she says not this week. So basically, a lot of my free time has gone to watching movies or messing around on the internet or feeling bad for myself because Sarah and Marley both have boys who love them and take care of them and most of the boys I try to talk to don't even text me back. I know I should probably stop watching chick flicks and find a real boy, but I want a boy who is going to take the effort to sweep me off my feet, not the other way around. I just can't wait until I'm married so I don't have to worry about dating and getting boys to like me and all that jazz anymore.
Oh yeah, and my bishop said I should enter a short story into my ward's talent show, but I didn't want to write one so I emailed him "Leopard Meat" to see if it was okay and he said that although it is written well, he doesn't find it appropriate for a ward activity. I should have known since my roommates told me I should use a pen name and were making fun of me for it.
Which reminds me, at the Ward Prayer Marley finally spotlighted me. And it was a horrible failure. Every time I tried to be funny, the room was painfully silent and I got odd stares. So now everyone just thinks I'm a giant weirdo and they want nothing to do with me. I am just soooo good at making friends, aren't I? Haha. Oh well.

Wear your coat! You are in the frozen tundra now! You are funny, so I don't know why the dorks couldn't understand your wit. Hmmm.
