Just so you all know, Sarah is one of my favorite roommates. In the top two, I'd say. She's pretty frickin' amazing. She likes to watch scary movies (although she does laugh at the oddest parts sometimes...) and she listens to good music. She also has the cutest outfits that I'm so jealous of. I'm glad she's my roommate and we are going to room together forever and ever and ever!
This week has been pretty hectic. Initially I thought that would mean I would be stressed out, but actually it just made it go by quicker, which I didn't mind.
Monday- Went to classes, lunch with Stephen, when I walked into Biology is was practically empty. I didn't think anything of it because I got to class about 5 minutes earlier than I usually do, but then somebody asked the TA if we were gonna have a quiz and she said "I don't see why we wouldn't" and they answered that there was no class that day. Sure enough, after checking her email, the TA announced that since there was no class there would be no quiz. That made me extremely happy because it meant I'd actually have time to do homework when I got home. So I did homework, went and tutored at the elementary school, came back and did more homework, then went outside at 6:30 for home evening. While waiting, a group of people from my ward came by and asked if we wanted to trade anything for a small bucket of chalk they had with them. I traded one of the books I got for free at the Humanities college fair. They came back with a banjo a few minutes later. Home evening was fun. We went with the bishop and his wife to a cabin (which was, like, right next door to the Darcey's from the Mormon Pride and Prejudice) and learned about how boys and girls think differently and applied it to relationships while we ate donuts and hot chocolate. Apparently boys have shelves in their brains from which they pull boxes one at a time. Girls just try to handle everything at once. We got home around 10, I did some more homework (I had two projects due for my class at 1:30 on Tuesday, but I couldn't do it the next morning because I had to be on campus by 9 and I would rather use my own printer than deal with printing on campus) and went to sleep early (like 11).
Tuesday- I had a meeting in the morning, which I actually didn't mind because I felt like I'd gotten enough sleep the night before and the meeting went by quickly because I was prepared and I kept everyone on topic and got through everything fast. Then I went and studied in the atrium of the library for three hours. I got quite a lot done. But for some reason, my happy mood that I'd had at the beginning of the day faded about halfway through studying. So after I ate lunch and did another 45 minutes of studying and then went to class, I was ready for a break. I got home and made a list of things we needed to make our dinner with the boys and waited for Marley to get home to see if she needed anything, too. Turns out she didn't. I went to the store and used my entire $30 for the week on the ingredients (we were having chicken pillows, which were not only expensive in and of themselves, but Marley wanted us to make a lot because we wanted enough for us and the boys to be able to stuff themselves on them), making two trips because in the first trip I forgot the beverages and something with which to make gravy. I was halfway through making the dinner (with 20 minutes to finish) when my visiting teachers stopped by. I had to stop and visit with them for about 10 minutes, which frustrated me a little because they knew I was busy, but I guess I had put them in a difficult situation and they didn't want me to feel like I'd gotten jipped. Marley and I finished dinner (Sarah had to take a test, so she left around the time the boys were supposed to get there) and I was proud of myself for making gravy with flour, milk, and chicken bouillon for the first time. It was strange that the boys hadn't arrived yet, because 6:30 had come and gone while we were cooking. We finished at about 6:40. No sign of them. Marley called their phones, left a few messages. Still nothing. 6:45. Apparently the boys didn't have a "Stephanie and Marley" box. You would think they at least had a "free dinner" box. We called one of my visiting teachers to see if she wanted some food because she'd been excited to see what we were making. She had just started making her own dinner and her roommate is a vegetarian, so that didn't work. 6:50. I asked Marley if we should just go invite some boys from across the street. There was no way Marley and I would be able to eat 32 chicken pillows, a dish of cheesey broccoli, and a gallon of chocolate milk by ourselves. So we went to the building across the street and knocked on a few doors, finally found one where the boys answered, and invited them to dinner with us. Dinner with Zack and Stetson turned out really nice and know we have a couple of friends who aren't in our ward. Take that forgetful boys from our ward!
Wednesday- Classes, ditched lunch with Stephen so I could work on my American Heritage essay (which I suppose turned out not so great, despite all the time I took to write it. Which is weird, because I usually don't take much time to write anything), and then had to stay an extra hour for my appointment with my peer mentor which took an additional 20 minutes. I went home, worked on a little homework, cleaned, hosted a movie night for the other American Heritage people in our ward who didn't want to walk back to campus to watch A More Perfect Union, finished cleaning, had a cleaning check, and then finished the rest of my essay. I went to bed early that night, too, because I was exhausted.
Thursday- I turned my American Heritage essay in, which was a major relief. I was really behind in my reading for American Heritage, though, so all the time in between classes was spent working on that and reading my Book of Mormon. After school, I spent an extremely large amount of time studying for my Book of Mormon test and preparing for all the things I had to take care of Friday and then went to bed early again.
Friday- I almost decided to sleep in and skip class, but I'm glad I went because we covered some important stuff and the person who was subbing for my teacher was really funny. Afterward, I took my Book of Mormon test, went to the Physical Science TA lab and redid my essay from the test (since they were letting people do that and I'm trying to get every point I can to keep my GPA up and hopefully be eligible for a good tuition scholarship), went to the American Heritage lab to go over my last test, went to the Foreign Language Activity Center and booked a room for my club's next activity (got hit on by some nerds in the process), and then went to see my academic advisor to declare my major and ask his advice on what bundle to choose for next semester. He didn't know anything about bundles, so he signed the major form and sent me to the Humanities office. The advisor there had the gayest voice I'd ever heard, but he was nice and gave me some good advice but also didn't know much about bundles, so he sent me to the Office of First-Year Experience. They sent me to the Peer Mentoring office, where I ran into my Peer Mentor so instead of meeting with a supervisor, she helped me sort everything out. Hopefully it'll all work out after all that effort. When I got home, I spent the remainder of my day on the couch watching tv and eating.
Saturday- I spent the entire day studying and doing other things I needed to catch up on, with the occasional break of course. I woke up in a bad mood and was feeling depressed, but I forced myself to work (and that might have been the reason it took all day). It was not one of my best days.
This morning I woke up in a slightly better mood, but I still don't feel like doing anything. I'm surprised I got this done. I just want to go back to bed and sleep forever. But I didn't want to forget anything, like I'd already forgotten most of what happened on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday after my last post.

I miss the good ol' college days. Not enough to go back, but...
