Harry Potter Marathon

So, this week we finally had our AMAZING Harry Potter party. Or at least, it should have been amazing. As you can tell by the pictures, (most of which are labelled, the "polyjuice potion"-aka mushroom soup- being the exception) we had tons of themed food (we also made meat pies, butterbeer, pumpkin pasties, and firewhiskey- I was too lazy to take pictures of them), we rearranged the apartment to fit lots of people inside, and we were watching the Harry Potter movies gosh dang it! We even moved our schedule around to fit around the ward's untimely activity. But, only a few people showed up every day, two of whom were regulars. Apparently, whenever I left to go to work, more people would show up. I wonder if that was just coincidence...
I was a little disappointed that it turned out the way it did. After all, I spent near $100 and many, many hours on this project to make it fun, and hardly anyone showed up. Lots more people liked my posts about it on Facebook than actually came. So, I didn't really make any new friends, which was half of the reason I did it in the first place.

But... I am dating someone now. Danny (or I guess he goes by Daniel, since he's in college now) Eck from Gilbert. I hadn't talked to him for a few months, but he was there when I got home from work on Thursday. He'd ridden his bike up and he lives far south of campus whereas I live north of campus, so I offered to give him a ride home. We ended up talking for a few hours outside his apartment, during which time I mentioned that I hadn't had my first kiss yet. A while later and he asked me how I'd feel if I had my first kiss that night, and after admitting I was nervous and each of us having a mint, I can no longer say I've never been kissed.
So basically, this week was a mixture of stress, fun, and a definite lack of sleep. But it was nice to change things up a bit.
